The Venue

I grew up going to my family's cabin every summer. There's a beautiful river that runs back through the cabin and an adorable pack station a few miles up the road. There is no cell phone service, the electricity is all run from generators, and there are no TVs. I have so many good memories that my sister helped me chose this perfect location to marry the man of my dreams.

It is near Sonora Pass and a little pack station called Kennedy Meadows (which might actually be where the ceremony takes place) It is just so quiet and beautiful there that now I couldn't imagine getting married anywhere else!

Okay, well it might not be at the cabin itself but it will be by the cabin. I am trying to work out all of the details now but it is kind of becoming a bit of a mess so we will see what happens. At least I have time to figure it out!

I also hope that California has a big winter so we will have water in the river in 2016!

Puppy Update

Just look at this face!!

Okay.. If anyone out there is paying attention I am so sorry I am bad at this! I promise to be better... but I did just get a job working for a Realtor but I can do a puppy update!

Oh my gosh we seriously got one of the best dogs ever! He rarely has accidents and we are finally able to leave him out of his pen at only 6 months!

Lewis weighing him the other day!

He only chews on his toys, he loves raw hides! He also loves the coconut oil we give him. I think one of my favorite things is that whenever the freezer door opens he runs to the kitchen like a mad man and waits patiently at your feet until you give him some ice.

After a walk that was a little too long for him...
Lewis ended up carrying him!!

He is also so mouthy! He will growl and make noises at you until you acknowledge him and give him what he wants! It is so stinking cute!  Plus he is so stinking big! At 6 months he is 47 pounds! I always get told at the dog park how big he will be. People also ask me if hes a Newfoundland... haha yea my dog is going to be a 150 pounds beast (I hope not)!

Kodi is finally used to him, he still terrorizes everyone in the house, Kodi most of all though! I just love him to death and I wouldn't trade him for any dog in the world!

This is a comparison I did with a newfie puppy (right) and my little beasty (left). He is a dead ringer for a newfie pup down to the markings!

Oh.... we might be buying a house in the very near future (because Shadow is growing us out of our home!)

So I am not the most consistent person at doing the whole blog thing, I am actually really bad at it but I promise I will do better later!

Until then I have just signed up to be a consultant for Pure Romance! I am so excited! My first party is on Friday and this will all be going to the Wedding and Honeymoon fund! It is a great part time job! If you would like to check things out or shop through me here is the website!

Wedding expo season

I love January! and I love that I still have another January to go through until my wedding. The reasoning behind this are all of the Wedding Expos I get to go to! I went to one over the past weekend and I have another one this weekend and the one more the weekend after that!

Of course we stayed with Lewis' sister and her fiancee, they all got drunk while I casually sipped on a drink. I feel I am getting too old to get drunk only because my hangovers are the worst! I lose like an entire day because I feel so sick!

Some of the flowers and displays they had at the Phoenix Wedding Expo were amazing. We had so much fun and there were a lot of cute ideas for favors and decorations.

I absolutely love this as a wedding favor but I feel it would be too expensive. Scones with jam and honey are just too cute though.

This bouquet is just so perfect

The swag we got was pretty great. Chocolates and a lot of reusable totes. It was the best spent $10, I ate too much cake and tried too many samples from caterers. It was a great weekend that's for sure and I can't wait for the next wedding expos!

A new addition to our family!

I am so stinking excited! No I am not pregnant, but we are getting a new baby. A little puppy! He is so stinking cute! I can't wait to actually get him, we met him over the weekend and he is such a cute little pot bellied black puppy! We are not sure yet if we are going to name him Shadow or Pigger because he is such a cute little piggy.
We decided to do an announcement on facebook, so a lot of people thought I was pregnant, It was pretty funny!

I can't wait to get him next weekend!

Late Birthday Wishes

So my second oldest sister's birthday was on the 9th. We celebrated by making dinner then going out for a little while. We got her extra drunk but we had a great time! The menu for dinner was a roast we rotisseried (Not sure if that's a word) with roasted potatoes, mixed veggies, and some chocolate cheesecake. I also made some puff pastry with whipped cream and raspberry sauce.
The cheesecake is store bought but it is the Cheesecake factory chocolate cheesecake. It is so delicious!

My sister Tiff and her boyfriend

The delicious roast!

This is the best! Baked brie with peach preserves! I could eat it all day!

All in all we had a great time celebrating together! I love having family around!

Christmas Baking

I love to bake, it is one of my favorite things to do. This year for friends and family baking was the easiest way to go about making affordable presents. We spent a weekend making different things and went to the dollar store to get the plates to put them on. We made muddy buddies (or puppy chow as some people call it which just sounds nasty to me) peanut butter pretzels dipped in chocolate, mint oreo truffles, rocky road fudge, regular fudge, 7 layer bars, cheesecake gingerbread bites, pretzel kiss things with m&m's, and peanut butter cookies with a reeses in them. It was all very simple to make. I will eventually post recipes for everything,
